Representatives of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2 of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University<\/strong>\u2014Head of the Department, Professor Svitlana Heryak<\/strong>, Assistant Lina Bahnii<\/strong>, and PhD students and young researchers Tetiana Adam<\/strong> and Valentyna Volianska<\/strong>\u2014attended the \u201c40th Anniversary Congress of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE)\u201d<\/strong> held in Rome, Italy<\/strong>, from March 4 to 6, 2026. During the congress, the team presented the department\u2019s latest scientific achievements, including three oral presentations and four poster presentations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE)<\/strong> was founded in 1986 to promote scientific research across all aspects of gynecological endocrinology. Its mission is to create more opportunities for scientists and practicing physicians from around the world to meet, exchange knowledge, and stay up to date with advances in research and clinical practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The congress was officially opened by Professor Tommaso Simoncini<\/strong>, President of ISGE. The event brought together over 3,000 participants from around the world<\/strong>, including 221 representatives from Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, 28 oral presentations<\/strong> were delivered during the congress, three of which highlighted the research achievements of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2<\/strong> at TNMU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Svitlana Heryak<\/strong>, together with Valentyna Volianska<\/strong>, presented an oral report titled \u201cAnalysis of Cognitive Dysfunction in Pregnant Women with Hypertension.\u201d<\/em> The presentation showcased the results of their interdisciplinary research on the risk of cognitive impairment in pregnant women with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assistant Lina Bahnii<\/strong> delivered an oral presentation titled \u201cThe Influence of Coagulation Homeostasis Disorders on the Development of Obstetric Complications in Pregnant Women with Metabolically Associated Steatohepatitis and Dyslipidemia.\u201d<\/em> In her report, she highlighted the significant impact of obesity and steatotic liver disease on the development of obstetric complications and coagulation disorders during pregnancy, emphasizing the need for specialized approaches to the diagnosis, counseling, and management of pregnant women with metabolic-associated steatohepatitis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

grants for free publication in the ISGE scientific database of the \u201c40th Anniversary Congress of Gynecological Endocrinology.\u201d<\/strong> The authors were also granted access to closed congress panel platforms and awarded\u00a0honorary membership in the International Association of Gynecological Endocrinologists<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PhD student Tetiana Adam<\/strong> was among the first speakers to present her research findings in an oral presentation titled \u201cPathomorphological Markers of Oncogenesis in Atypical Endometrial Hyperplasia.\u201d<\/em> She emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and the identification of oncogenic markers in patients with atypical endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial polyposis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, the ISGE 40th Anniversary World Congress<\/strong> became the largest and most significant event in the field of gynecological endocrinology and a central component of ISGE\u2019s educational activities. The congress offered a unique opportunity for specialists to meet, exchange experiences, and stay informed about future strategies aimed at protecting women\u2019s health and improving their quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This internationally recognized event in obstetrics and gynecology provides participants with an interdisciplinary perspective on women\u2019s reproductive potential, particularly in relation to metabolic dysfunction and hormonal imbalance. It also creates opportunities for collaboration with other specialists working toward common clinical goals and serves as an important platform for presenting original scientific research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
