{"id":181270,"date":"2026-03-24T12:48:38","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T10:48:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/blog\/2026\/03\/24\/studenty-tnmu-doluchylysya-do-vidznachennya-tyzhnya-mozku-v-ukrayini\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T14:09:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T12:09:08","slug":"studenty-tnmu-doluchylysya-do-vidznachennya-tyzhnya-mozku-v-ukrayini","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/en\/blog\/2026\/03\/24\/studenty-tnmu-doluchylysya-do-vidznachennya-tyzhnya-mozku-v-ukrayini\/","title":{"rendered":"TNMU Students Joined the Celebration of Brain Awareness Week in Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">On March 20, 2026, a medical student of TNMU, Bohdan Savchuk (group MM-212), under the supervision of Professor of the Department of Medical Biochemistry Olha Yaremchuk, delivered a lecture titled \u201cNeurochemistry of Emotions\u201d for 11th-grade students of the hub lyceum in the village of Zymne, Volyn region, as part of Brain Awareness Week in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"610\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image001-22-610x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-181251\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image001-22-610x460.jpg 610w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image001-22-179x135.jpg 179w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image001-22-768x579.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image001-22.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The aim of the event was to increase students\u2019 awareness of the mechanisms underlying emotions and the influence of hormones and neurotransmitters on behavior, mood, and cognitive processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">During the lecture, the student noted: \u201cUnderstanding your own emotions helps not only in everyday life but also in learning. For example, if you know why you feel anxious, it is easier to stay calm and maintain concentration.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"345\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image003-24-345x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-181252\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image003-24-345x460.jpg 345w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image003-24-101x135.jpg 101w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image003-24-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image003-24-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image003-24.jpg 1284w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 345px) 100vw, 345px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The students learned how serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, and oxytocin affect mood, motivation, and behavior, as well as how an imbalance of these substances can alter human responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Particular attention was paid to the connection between emotions and cognitive processes. The student explained how emotional states can either enhance or reduce concentration, influence decision-making, and affect learning efficiency.
