During a working visit to VIVES University of Applied Sciences (Bruges, Kingdom of Belgium), a delegation from I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, consisting of Vice-Rector for Science, Education, and Clinical Affairs Stepan Zaporozhan and Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing Svitlana Danchak, was invited to an official meeting with the Governor of the Province of West Flanders, Carl Decaluw\u00e9. The meeting marked an important step in developing international interregional cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, TNMU representatives shared their experience operating under wartime conditions, particularly in organizing the educational process, training medical professionals, and adapting to new challenges. Special attention was paid to supporting Ukrainian educational institutions, the role of training doctors and nurses in strengthening the healthcare system during the war and in the post-war recovery period, and the prospects for developing joint educational and humanitarian initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A particular emphasis during the discussion was placed on the development of nursing as a strategic direction for strengthening Ukraine\u2019s healthcare system in times of war and post-war recovery. The dialogue also covered opportunities to expand interregional partnerships and to attract international support for the development of nursing education at the university, in cooperation with partners from VIVES University of Applied Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting became a meaningful, open dialogue about shared challenges, responsibilities, and support. It demonstrated the genuine readiness of European partners to collaborate with TNMU and opened new opportunities for implementing joint initiatives in education and healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
