Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University hosted the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation titled \u201cProspects for the Development of Medical Rehabilitation at Different Levels of Healthcare Delivery.\u201d The event became a large-scale scientific forum, bringing together more than 1,500 participants from across Ukraine and abroad. The conference was organized by the Departments of Medical Rehabilitation and Emergency Medicine of the University in partnership with the NGO \u201cUkrainian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine\u201d and the Charitable Foundation \u201cProsthesis Hub.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The event was held online via YouTube and, over two days, served as an active venue for professional communication, the exchange of experience, and the presentation of the latest achievements in physical and rehabilitation medicine, as well as prosthetics and orthotics. Researchers and practitioners from Ukraine, Poland, Sweden, Austria, Canada, and the United States participated in the conference, significantly expanding its international dimension, elevating the scientific quality of discussions, and advancing the integration of Ukraine\u2019s rehabilitation system into the global professional community. The conference program included a plenary session and thematic sessions devoted to current challenges in rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The official opening of the conference was attended by the Rector of the University, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi, who, in his welcoming address, emphasized the strategic role of medical rehabilitation in the modern healthcare system and highlighted the importance of implementing evidence-based medicine, multidisciplinary collaboration, and international experience in Ukrainian practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"592\" height=\"321\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image001-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-184470\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image001-1.png 592w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image001-1-249x135.png 249w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 592px) 100vw, 592px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Plenary Session: Strategic Directions for the Development of Rehabilitation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The central event of the conference was the plenary session, which brought together hundreds of participants and leading experts in the field. More than 20 presentations were delivered, focusing on key areas of rehabilitation medicine development. Participants discussed systemic approaches to building the rehabilitation sector and its integration across all levels of healthcare delivery. Particular attention was paid to functional patient assessment, rehabilitation of military personnel, and the use of telerehabilitation and digital technologies. International experts shared their experience in organizing rehabilitation services and in training and certifying specialists, fostering an active professional dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Section \u201cProsthetics and Orthotics\u201d: Innovation and Interdisciplinary Approach<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Special attention was drawn to the section on prosthetics and orthotics, which brought together clinicians, researchers, and engineers to address current issues in restoring patients\u2019 functional independence. The session featured more than 15 presentations on modern bionic technologies, engineering solutions, and interdisciplinary approaches to the rehabilitation of patients following amputation. Key topics included gait restoration, mobility assessment, the impact of prosthetics on cognitive load, and the individualization of pre- and post-prosthetic rehabilitation programs. International speakers presented practical cases of advanced prosthetic designs that are already significantly improving patients\u2019 quality of life. The session demonstrated the field&#8217;s rapid development and its focus on individualized, patient-centered solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Section \u201cPreventive Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation\u201d: Current Challenges and Solutions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The section on preventive cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation became a dynamic platform for more than 20 presentations on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Participants examined modern approaches to managing patients after myocardial infarction and cardiac surgery, the implementation of innovative technologies in cardiac rehabilitation, and methods for assessing the cardiovascular system&#8217;s functional state. Special attention was given to the impact of psycho-emotional stress in wartime conditions and the management of patients with comorbidities. The practical component was complemented by workshops on emergency conditions and basic resuscitation measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"677\" height=\"346\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image002-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-184471\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image002-8.jpg 677w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/image002-8-264x135.jpg 264w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 677px) 100vw, 677px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">In total, more than 60 scientific presentations were delivered during the conference, covering a wide range of \u0430\u043a\u0442\u0443\u0430\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0456 issues in modern rehabilitation medicine.
