On May 1, 2026, the III International Scientific and Practical Conference \u201cModern Nursing: European Integration Processes of Continuous Professional Development\u201d was held in Yaremche. It served as a powerful professional platform for dialogue, exchange of experience, and the development of new approaches to nursing education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, heads of educational institutions, leading experts in the field, and international partners. The conference demonstrated the nursing community’s readiness for cooperation, mutual respect, and integration into the European educational space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the center of the professional discussion was the transformation of nursing education in line with current challenges and European standards. Particular attention was paid to the panel discussion \u201cProfessional Junior Bachelor \u2013 Bachelor \u2013 Master \u2013 PhD,\u201d which focused on developing a tiered model for training specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the discussion, Svitlana Danchak, Associate Professor and Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University emphasized that nursing science today is both accessible and an essential component of professional development. She noted that a modern nurse is not merely a performer of medical procedures, but an independent specialist with well-developed clinical thinking, a critical mindset, and the ability to act in accordance with evidence-based medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nurses are increasingly engaging in scientific research, conducting their own studies, publishing academic papers, and obtaining Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Nursing, thereby shaping a new quality of the profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
