On May 2, 2026<\/strong>, I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University<\/strong> hosted the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference \u201cProvision of Modern Specialized Otorhinolaryngological Care in the Context of the Russian-Ukrainian War.\u201d<\/strong> The event became a major scientific forum, bringing together more than 400 otorhinolaryngologists<\/strong> from Kyiv<\/strong> and the Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Poltava regions<\/strong>. The conference was organized by the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Ophthalmology<\/strong> in partnership with World Medicine Ophthalmics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event served as an active platform for professional communication, exchange of experience, and presentation of modern approaches to providing specialized ENT care under the challenging conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war<\/strong>. The conference was officially opened by Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Oleksandra Oleshchuk<\/strong>, who emphasized the critical importance of timely and high-quality specialized medical care for military personnel and civilian patients who have sustained injuries and trauma as a result of the military aggression of the terrorist state. A welcoming address was also delivered by the Chair of the Organizing Committee, Professor Oleksandr Yashan<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Ophthalmology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A significant number of presentations focused on nasal and paranasal sinus pathology<\/strong>, with contributions from Professor Ivanna Koshel, Professor Svitlana Levytska, Associate Professor Viacheslav Didkovskyi, Taras Kunakh, PhD, and Viktor Yushchenko, PhD<\/strong>, who highlighted effective approaches to the diagnosis, therapeutic management, and surgical treatment of a wide range of ENT disorders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contemporary methods for diagnosing and treating complex patients with pharyngeal and laryngeal diseases<\/strong> were presented by Professor Vasyl Popovych, Associate Professor Oksana Moskalyk, Associate Professor Mykhailo Bezeha, and Ihor Havura<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innovative approaches to the management of patients with acoustic barotrauma<\/strong> were demonstrated by Professor Oleksandr Yashan, Professor Liliia Babinets, and Artem Yashan<\/strong>. All presentations generated considerable interest and lively discussion among conference participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conclusion of the scientific sessions, participants completed an assessment in order to receive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits<\/strong>, in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the conference outcomes, a resolution<\/strong> was adopted outlining future directions for the development of specialized otorhinolaryngological care<\/strong>, particularly in the context of the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
