On May 6, 2026, a meeting of faculty members and students was held at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, during which participants of the international academic mobility programs ERASMUS+<\/strong> and the Blended Intensive Program (BIP)<\/strong> presented the outcomes of their educational visits to Austria and Estonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing, Svitlana Danchak<\/strong>, emphasized the active involvement of nursing students in such programs, highlighting their importance not only for education but also for international networking and professional collaboration between faculty members and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants shared their experiences of studying in a multicultural environment, attending international training sessions, simulation-based classes, and collaborating with teams of students and faculty members from various European countries. Special attention was given to modern approaches to nursing education, public health, midwifery care, breastfeeding support, and interprofessional communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associate Professor Liudmyla Mazur<\/strong>, master\u2019s student Nataliia Trach<\/strong>, and bachelor\u2019s students Mariia Andrushkiv<\/strong>, Olesia Holodnikova<\/strong>, Viktoriia Odrekhivska<\/strong>, and Liudmyla Povkh<\/strong> shared their impressions of participating in the ERASMUS+ blended intensive program \u201cPublic Health for Nurses,\u201d<\/em> which took place in Vienna. The participants spoke about the organization of midwifery care in different countries, their work on international case studies, and visits to the simulation center, the Vienna General Hospital (AKH), the Josephinum Medical Museum, and the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty members of the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care, and Clinical Immunology, Yuliia Danylevych<\/strong> and Yuliia Kotsaba<\/strong>, together with students of the Nursing<\/em> educational program\u2014Lina Boichuk<\/strong>, Svitlana Vlasova<\/strong>, Yuliia Palka<\/strong>, and Anastasiia Stelmakh<\/strong>\u2014presented the outcomes of their participation in the BIP \u201cBreastfeeding and Early Interaction Basics and Beyond,\u201d<\/em> which took place this year in Tallinn. Within the program, participants studied modern international approaches to breastfeeding support and early mother\u2013child interaction, worked on thematic projects, and participated in simulation-based training sessions. Faculty members from TNMU also delivered their own lecture and master class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants emphasized the importance of intercultural interaction, the development of communication skills, and the implementation of humanistic approaches in nursing practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing had the opportunity to learn more about participation in international educational programs, academic mobility, professional development prospects, and cooperation with European educational institutions. Program participants highlighted that international experience contributes to the expansion of professional competencies, the development of critical thinking and teamwork skills, and the implementation of modern international practices in the education of future nurses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The establishment of cooperation with European educational institutions and participation in ERASMUS+ educational programs were made possible through the support of Oksana Shevchuk<\/strong>, Head of the Scientific Project Management Department at TNMU, and the initiative of Svitlana Danchak<\/strong>, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
