Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University has consistently ranked among the country&#8217;s leading medical universities for many years. In the 2026 ranking, TNMU placed <strong>third among Ukraine&#8217;s medical higher education institutions<\/strong> and <strong>22nd overall<\/strong>. According to the regional results, the University also ranked <strong>first among higher education institutions in the Ternopil region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"581\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/rejtyng-581x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-188370\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/rejtyng-581x460.jpg 581w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/rejtyng-171x135.jpg 171w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/rejtyng-768x608.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/rejtyng.jpg 1212w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 581px) 100vw, 581px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\">When compiling the 2026 ranking, the experts took into account the ongoing transformation of Ukraine&#8217;s higher education system, which is undergoing profound structural changes driven both by higher education reforms and by the significant challenges resulting from the Russian Federation&#8217;s full-scale military aggression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\">The ranking methodology is based on the <strong>Berlin Principles on Ranking of Higher Education Institutions<\/strong>, adopted by participants of the Second IREG Conference, and also incorporates the recommendations of the <strong>IREG 2025 International Conference<\/strong>,
