On June 19, 2026, a working online meeting was held between representatives of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University and VIVES University of Applied Sciences (Belgium). The meeting focused on discussing the Educational and Professional Program (EPP) in Nutrition<\/strong> and exploring prospects for further cooperation between the two higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing TNMU were members of the working group responsible for developing the EPP in Nutrition: Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Arkadii Shulhai, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing Svitlana Danchak, Professor Ihor Hospodarskyi, and Associate Professors Oksana Prokopchuk and Nadiia Havryliuk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VIVES University of Applied Sciences was represented by Lieve Acke, Lecturer at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and Internationalization Coordinator; Nele Vandeputte, International Coordinator for the Healthcare Program; and Svitlana Musina, Lecturer in Nursing at VIVES University College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the participants discussed the structure and content of the Educational and Professional Program in Nutrition, approaches to educating future nutrition professionals, methods of developing practical competencies, and opportunities for incorporating contemporary European experience into the educational process. The representatives of VIVES reviewed the program developed by TNMU, highly appreciated the quality of the prepared materials, and shared professional recommendations for its further development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Particular attention was paid to the practice-oriented nature of the bachelor’s program in Nutrition, the interdisciplinary approach to education, the role of nutrition professionals in today’s healthcare system, and the importance of equipping students with the competencies required to work with diverse population groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants emphasized that launching the Educational and Professional Program in Nutrition is both timely and highly relevant, given the growing demand in Ukraine for qualified specialists in nutrition, disease prevention, healthy lifestyle promotion, and nutritional support. Following the meeting, both institutions agreed on the key areas of future cooperation, including the exchange of experience in nutrition education, academic collaboration, joint educational initiatives, and faculty exchange opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was held in a constructive and collaborative atmosphere and marked another important step in strengthening TNMU’s international partnerships, enhancing the Educational and Professional Program in Nutrition, and integrating modern European approaches into the education of future nutrition professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
