From 16 February to 30 June 2026<\/strong>, fourth-year students of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University<\/strong>, Sofiia Huk<\/strong> (MM-405) and Oleksandra Pankiv<\/strong> (MM-412), participated in the Erasmus+ international academic mobility program<\/strong>, completing a semester of study at the Medical University of Warsaw<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the semester, they studied a range of disciplines, including\u00a0Orthopedic Surgery, Forensic Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Neurology<\/strong>, and\u00a0Polish Language<\/strong>.<\/span> The program was distinguished by its strong practical orientation, with most classes held in university clinics and hospitals. The students attended surgical procedures, participated in clinical ward rounds, observed multidisciplinary healthcare teams in action, and gained first-hand experience of modern medical practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most valuable aspects of the exchange was the opportunity to become familiar with the Polish approaches to healthcare organization, patient management, and clinical treatment. This experience provided a broader perspective on medicine, allowing the students to compare different healthcare systems and learn best practices that will inspire their future professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An equally important component of the program was its international learning environment. Together with the TNMU students, participants from T\u00fcrkiye, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Greece, Bulgaria, Latvia, and Germany<\/strong> attended the courses. Daily interaction, collaborative learning, and the exchange of experiences with peers from across Europe enriched not only their academic knowledge but also fostered lasting friendships and a deeper understanding of different cultures and medical traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in the Erasmus+<\/strong> program became much more than simply a semester of study abroad. It was a period of professional growth, new challenges, unforgettable experiences, and unique opportunities that will undoubtedly shape their future careers as physicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
