As a result of the 2026 Erasmus+ KA2 competition \u201cCooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training (KA220-VET)\u201d<\/strong>, the European Commission has approved funding for the project \u201cImproving Skills in Caring for Seriously Ill Patients at Home through Peer Learning Programs\u201d (CARE-360)<\/strong>. A team of researchers from I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University is involved in its implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total budget of the initiative is \u20ac250,000<\/strong>. The project will start on 1 September 2026<\/strong> and run for two years, until 31 August 2028<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u041f\u0440The main objectives of the project are to provide people caring for patients at home with tailored educational resources and tools to improve caregiving practices; address qualification gaps and expand employment opportunities for home caregivers; and strengthen the role of vocational education and training in caregiving across the EU by improving working conditions for care workers and care standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project includes a range of activities, including project management and quality assurance, dissemination of information, international on-site partner meetings, a virtual training-of-trainers seminar, training of trainers in the Czech Republic, development of the CARE-360 mobile application<\/strong>, development and implementation of the CARE-360 VET<\/strong> training course, creation of educational materials for caregivers and trainers, and other activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The international consortium consists of the following partners:<\/p>\n\n\n

  • ADAPTORA<\/strong> \u2013 a vocational and adult education organization focused on developing the competencies and skills of adults and professionals in Cyprus (Limassol);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • State Institution \u201cCentre for Integrated Medical Services\u201d (E10107520 \u2013 LT)<\/strong>, Lithuania (Panev\u0117\u017eys);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u201cNicoletta Georgianni\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 a private company in Greece (Patras), specializing in software design and development, interactive e-learning ecosystems, and AI-based digital solutions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • DelpSys<\/strong> \u2013 a Czech organization providing systemic support, consulting, and innovation for social service providers and professionals working in the care sector, with the aim of improving the quality of social services through a combination of a systemic approach, technology, and person-centered practice (Prague).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n
