Today, when the value of human life and health is felt more acutely than ever, the professions of nurse and paramedic are of particular importance. They are often the first to be there in a critical moment, providing daily, quietly and selflessly, support, treatment, and lifesaving care. On August 31, 2026, Ternopil National Medical University held its traditional ceremonial matriculation for new students of the Educational and Research Institute of Nursing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the newcomers joining our university family, this day marked the symbolic beginning of their professional journey \u2013 a journey dedicated to serving people, preserving health, and saving lives. Svitlana Danchak, Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Nursing, addressed the students with words of welcome. She emphasized that the professions of nursing and paramedicine require profound knowledge, well-developed practical skills, a compassionate heart, humanity, and genuine dedication to the profession, as these healthcare professionals often become a source of support for people during the most difficult moments of their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Student Oath was a symbolic part of the ceremony. Those present in the hall pledged to study diligently, adhere to the ethical principles of their profession, and proudly uphold the title of a TNMU student. Another important moment was the presentation of practical skills matriculae. This special document will accompany each student throughout their studies, documenting their professional development and progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First-year students will receive special support from mentors \u2013 senior university students who met their mentees during the matriculation ceremony. They will help first-year students adapt to their new educational environment, provide guidance on organizational aspects of their studies, and support them in their everyday student life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
