The official kick-off meeting of the NANSEN-EDU project was held online on 10 September 2026. The project, entitled \u201cEstablishing an Internationally Standard-Compliant Paramedic Training System in Ukraine and Community-Level Emergency Support Structures within the Partnership with Norway\u201d, was jointly developed by Nord University (Bod\u00f8, Norway), I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU), and Sumy State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All members of the TNMU project team took part in the meeting, including Mariia Marushchak, Professor and Dean of the Faculty of International Students (Project Coordinator); Liudmyla Mazur, Associate Professor of the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care and Clinical Immunology; Arsen Hudyma, Professor and Head of the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine; Kateryna Kozak, Associate Professor of the Department of Paediatrics No. 2; and Antonina Chervatiuk and Mariana-Ivanna Varvaruk, Assistants at the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting focused on the project\u2019s objectives and expected outcomes, the management and meeting structure, priority activities for autumn 2026, potential risks and challenges, as well as planning in-person meetings and the final project conference. The work package leaders outlined the objectives, tasks, timelines, and key activities for each project work package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project activities will be implemented throughout 2026\u20132029. The results of the project are planned to be disseminated through an international publication and presented at a final conference on paramedicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
