A strong team of cardiology researchers from Ternopil National Medical University<\/strong> took part in the 27th National Congress of Cardiologists of Ukraine<\/strong>, presenting the University\u2019s scientific achievements and contributing to the professional exchange within Ukraine\u2019s cardiology community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TNMU delegation included Professors Marian Hrebenyk, Nadiia Yarema, and Larysa Levytska<\/strong>, Associate Professors Sofiia Lypovetska and Oksana Kotsiuba<\/strong>, as well as young researchers from the Department of Emergency Medical Care Uliana Dmyterko, Anastasiia Vynnyk, and Viktoriia Yurkiv<\/strong>. Despite the challenging journey to the capital under wartime conditions, the researchers took part in the congress to support Ukraine\u2019s cardiology community, exchange experience with colleagues, and discuss future directions for the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the first day of the congress, Anastasiia Vynnyk<\/strong>, a fifth-year medical student and head of the student research group at the Department of Emergency Medical Care, presented the results of her research as part of the Young Scientists\u2019 Competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her presentation was entitled \u201cAnalysis of Haemodynamic, Metabolic and Psychological Parameters During the Rehabilitation of Patients with Osteoarthritis and Comorbid Cardiovascular Disease Using an AI-Based Telediagnostic Platform.\u201d<\/strong> The research was conducted under the supervision of Professor Larysa Levytska<\/strong> of the Department of Emergency Medical Care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of her participation in the Young Scientists\u2019 Competition, Anastasiia Vynnyk was awarded third place<\/strong>. She demonstrated a high level of theoretical knowledge, research skills, the ability to analyse findings, and effectively present scientific results to a professional audience. Warm words of appreciation and valuable guidance from Professor Oleh Sychov<\/strong>, President of the Ukrainian Association of Cardiologists, provided additional encouragement for her further scientific work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the plenary session on clinical arrhythmology<\/strong>, moderated by Professor Oleh Sychov, President of the Ukrainian Association of Arrhythmologists of Ukraine, Professor Marian Hrebenyk<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Therapy and Family Medicine of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education at TNMU, presented the results of a long-term observational study entitled \u201cThe State of the Coronary Arteries in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation Based on Coronary Angiography Findings.\u201d<\/strong> The study generated considerable interest and active discussion among the session participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Larysa Levytska<\/strong> of the Department of Emergency Medical Care presented a joint study conducted by researchers from the Department of Emergency Medical Care, headed by Professor Mykola Shved, and the Department of Medical Informatics, headed by Professor Dmytro Vakulenko. The presentation, \u201cInnovative Technologies in the Cardiological Rehabilitation System of Ukraine: Practical Aspects and Strategic Prospects,\u201d<\/strong> focused on current approaches to cardiac rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The research conducted by the TNMU team demonstrated its relevance and alignment with current international and national trends in cardiology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associate Professor Sofiia Lypovetska<\/strong> of the Department of Emergency Medical Care delivered a presentation entitled \u201cMINOCA \u2013 From a Working Diagnosis to Identifying the Mechanism.\u201d<\/strong> Her presentation addressed the challenges of diagnosing and treating myocardial injury in the absence of obstructive coronary artery disease. She substantiated the need for multimodal imaging to identify the underlying cause of the syndrome and emphasized the importance of personalized treatment rather than standard therapeutic approaches used for obstructive coronary artery disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The congress concluded with a strong sense of pride in Ukraine, concern for the lives and well-being of its people, and faith in the future. Despite the extremely challenging conditions of martial law, ongoing air-raid alerts, and enemy attacks, Ukraine\u2019s cardiology community continues to demonstrate resilience and solidarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The joint efforts of researchers and practising physicians from Kyiv, Ternopil, and all regions of Ukraine demonstrate that Ukrainian medical science has not only withstood the challenges of wartime but continues to develop and move forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By maintaining a shared scientific and practical focus, Ukrainian cardiologists continue their vital professional mission every day, saving lives and contributing to the country\u2019s efforts for Victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
