This prize will be awarded to a PhD student or recently qualified PhD who has produced a highly anticipated thesis with great academic potential. The applications will be assessed by an evaluation committee led by the Editors-in-Chief, Dr. Alexander E. Kalyuzhny and Prof. Dr. Cord Brakebusch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Eligibility and Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The candidate must be a PhD student or recently qualified PhD who has produced a highly anticipated thesis with great academic potential;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The PhD thesis must be their original work;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The PhD thesis must be defended;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The candidate must be a PhD student or recently qualified PhD who has produced a highly anticipated thesis with great academic potential;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The PhD thesis must be their original work;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The PhD thesis must be defended between 31 October 2022 and 15 December 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Required Application Documents:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">An executive summary of the PhD thesis in English of around 3000 words;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">A letter from the PhD supervisor recommending the candidate for consideration for this award;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The candidate\u2019s CV, including a list of publications connected with the thesis;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">An electronic copy of the PhD thesis;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">A scanned copy of the PhD diploma (or certificate of studying at a school or research institute as a PhD student going to graduate or participating in graduation thesis defenses).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Selection Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Quality of resume and publications;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Relevance of the candidate and research description;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Novelty of the candidate\u2019s PhD thesis;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Strength of the recommendation letter;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Anticipated academic potential;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Originality and impact of the research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Prizes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Bonus (<strong>CHF 800<\/strong>);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">An electronic certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Please apply by clicking the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/journal\/cells\/awards\/2442\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">link<\/a>&nbsp;by&nbsp;<strong>15 December 2023<\/strong>.
