{"id":4374,"date":"2024-05-23T17:50:09","date_gmt":"2024-05-23T14:50:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/science\/?p=4374"},"modified":"2024-05-24T11:30:09","modified_gmt":"2024-05-24T08:30:09","slug":"catalyst-research-grant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/science\/en\/catalyst-research-grant\/","title":{"rendered":"Catalyst Research Grant"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">This award is intended to stimulate the entry of early-career scientists into areas of research related to eczema, as they seek to become an independent research investigator with a commitment to this field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Catalyst Research Grants provide promising early investigators with seed grants to help establish a novel and promising line of eczema research, and gather a preliminary, yet meaningful body of data to carry this area of study forward. Data from Catalyst awards can then be used to seek additional, larger-scale funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) or other funding entities to conduct additional investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Proposals should address at least one of the following research priorities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Cutting Edge Basic &amp; Translational Science*<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Eczema Heterogeneity: Novel Insights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Innovations in Clinical Practice &amp; Care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Understanding &amp; Alleviating Disease Burden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Eczema Prevention<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\">Number of Awards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">This is a 1-year non-renewable grant, with an expected start date of January 1, 2025. Awards are contingent on the receipt of sufficiently meritorious applications. Additional awards may be available at NEA discretion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\">Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Assistant Professors (or equivalent) without current or previous NIH R funding as a Senior or Co-PI, Post-doctoral fellows, Medical Residents or Fellows, Research Associates, and Nurse Practitioners are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Previous recipients of NEA research grants still meeting these eligibility criteria may apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The applicant must be personally and actively responsible for the conduct of the proposed research. The applicant need not be a United States citizen and the research need not take place in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\">Budget<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Applicants may request up to $50,000 (USD; direct costs only).
