The fellowship covers (part of) the costs associated with travel (economy class) and expenses (subsistence, accommodation etc.) of the fellow while living abroad up to a maximum of \u20ac 15000.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/inqua.org\/funding\/fellowship?utm_source=International+Science+Council&amp;utm_campaign=7a654d4592-Job+alerts+email+-+16&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_6e20810dfd-7a654d4592-563379339\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/inqua.org\/funding\/fellowship?utm_source=International+Science+Council&amp;utm_campaign=7a654d4592-Job+alerts+email+-+16&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_6e20810dfd-7a654d4592-563379339<\/a>&nbsp;<br>Current Call for Applications<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Applications are invited from candidates in all continents\/regions for the&nbsp;<strong><u>2024 INQUA Fellowship Program<\/u><\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Please read the guidelines carefully, fill in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/inqua.org\/media\/uploads\/6660170817c70-Fellowship%20Application_2024.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">application form<\/a>, and submit it, together with the required documents (see guidelines), before&nbsp;<strong>15 September 2024<\/strong>&nbsp;at the&nbsp;<strong>INQUA Secretariat (<a href=\"mailto:info@inqua.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">info@inqua.org<\/a>)<\/strong>. If&nbsp;you have any questions, please contact INQUA at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:info@inqua.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">info@inqua.org<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\">Eligibility&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The applicants must fulfil the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Early-career scientists (ECRs)<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; graduate students and postgraduates within&nbsp;8 years&nbsp;of receiving their final degree. This period of 8 years does not take into account periods of time taken not working as an academic or because of taking time off because of family responsibilities. Scientists who have been working for less than 8 years and who have permanent (tenured) positions, may still be considered as early-career researchers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Developing-Country Researchers (DCRs)<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; researchers who are working in&nbsp;low income&nbsp;or&nbsp;lower middle income&nbsp;economies (see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/inqua.org\/media\/uploads\/6008558bb18c4-List%20of%20developing%20economies.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>&nbsp;for list of these economies). In applying this guideline, INQUA will take into account that inclusion or exclusion from the World Bank list may not be an adequate reflection of the levels of science funding or funding to individual scientists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Individuals must be willing to conduct research at host research institutions in foreign countries.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Research Topics&nbsp;should be related to INQUA\u2019s defined scope (<a href=\"https:\/\/inqua.org\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/inqua.org\/about<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Applicants can benefit from the INQUA Fellowship Program&nbsp;only once.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\" wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\">Awards Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">As you prepare your applications, please note that some of the basic criteria that are considered in the process of evaluating&nbsp;and awarding funds for INQUA grant projects and fellowships may include:&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Excellence of the host researcher\/hosting institution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Research potential and collaboration fostering:<\/strong>&nbsp;scientific quality of research, novelty and timeliness, cost-effectiveness, significance, feasibility of the proposed project in connection with INQUA scope<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>The academic excellence of the applicant:<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;t<\/strong>he scientific and publication track record of the investigator, scholarships\/fellowships held, work experience, project management, ability to communicate and present scientific results, degree of involvement in academic life and community<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The&nbsp;INQUA Fellowship Program&nbsp;financially supports early-career scientists (ECRs) and scientists from low- and middle-income countries\/developing countries (DCRs) to gain international Quaternary research experience at a foreign institution for 3\u20136 months.The aim of the INQUA Fellowship Program is to contribute to the development of collaborative research.
