The Center for International Projects \u201cEuroEducation\u201d (http:\/\/www.euroosvita.net\/<\/a>), in partnership with the international expert group IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence (http:\/\/ireg-observatory.org\/en\/<\/a>), has published the eighteenth academic ranking of higher education institutions in Ukraine, \u201cTop-200 Ukraine 2024.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University ranked second<\/strong> among medical and pharmaceutical universities in Ukraine and twentieth<\/strong> among the 200<\/strong> higher education institutions in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In compiling this year\u2019s ranking, experts considered modern trends in higher education, which is undergoing profound changes due to ongoing reforms and suffering significant losses as a result of Russia\u2019s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. They also considered the Berlin Principles<\/strong> adopted by participants of the second IREG meeting (Berlin, Germany, May 18-20, 2006, link<\/a>) and the IREG Guidelines 2023 for Stakeholders of Academic Rankings<\/strong> (link<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Principles of University Rankings in \u201cTop-200 Ukraine 2024\u201d:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

a)<\/strong> Ensuring openness, transparency, objectivity, and independence in university rankings. Only publicly available data published on the web resources of independent national and international organizations were used.
b)<\/strong> Considering the comprehensiveness and multidimensional nature of university activities. To this end, university performance was assessed based on broader indicators.
c)<\/strong> Prioritizing European integration processes. Given the importance of Ukraine\u2019s higher education integration into Europe, international performance indicators<\/strong> (QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education World University Rankings, Scopus, Webometrics, THE University Impact Rankings, QS WUR Sustainability) were assigned higher weight coefficients compared to national indicators.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
