{"id":4927,"date":"2025-03-06T20:03:37","date_gmt":"2025-03-06T18:03:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/science\/?p=4927"},"modified":"2025-03-06T20:03:43","modified_gmt":"2025-03-06T18:03:43","slug":"the-european-union-visitors-programme-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/science\/en\/the-european-union-visitors-programme-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"The European Union Visitors Programme 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The European Union Visitors Programme (EUVP) is an individual visitors\u2019 programme, established by the European Parliament and the European Commission in 1974.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Deadline-<strong>24 March 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>What is the EUVP?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The EUVP invites young, promising leaders from countries outside the European Union to visit Europe to gain a first-hand appreciation of the EU\u2019s institutions, policies, values, and people to increase mutual understanding between professionals from non-EU countries and their EU counterparts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The EUVP is jointly sponsored and administered by the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/news\/public\/default_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Parliament<\/a>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/index_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Commission<\/a>. An EUVP visit consists of an individual 5-day program of meetings with EU officials at the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/europa.eu\/about-eu\/institutions-bodies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EU institutions<\/a>&nbsp;in Brussels and\/or Strasbourg. All programs are coordinated and arranged by the EUVP Secretariat rather than by individual participants.&nbsp;<strong>Travel and per diem costs are covered by the EUVP.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">For more details on the programme, please visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/visitors-programme.europa.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/visitors-programme.europa.eu\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Who is eligible to participate?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong><u>Ukrainian citizens<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;with a career-related interest in the EU are invited to apply. Ideal candidates,&nbsp;<strong>aged 25-35<\/strong>, are professionals in a field where their EUVP experience will enhance their understanding of the EU and contribute positively to their chosen career path.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Basic knowledge of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/europa.eu\/about-eu\/institutions-bodies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EU institutions<\/a>&nbsp;(<a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/european-union\/about-eu\/institutions-bodies_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/europa.eu\/european-union\/about-eu\/institutions-bodies_en<\/a>) and their functioning is a plus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong><u>Fluency in English or French<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;is required to be able to conduct meetings with the EU colleagues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Eligible participants fall under one of the following categories: &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Political milieus<\/strong>: Such as members of national and regional Parliaments, mayors, party officials and advisers to politicians.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Government\/Parliamentary officials<\/strong>: In particular those exercising responsibility in areas of special relevance to the EU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Media:<\/strong>&nbsp;In particular those exercising an editorial function in areas of special relevance to the EU (e.g. as foreign affairs editor, political correspondent of national newspapers, editor of regional newspapers, radio or TV current affairs producer\/presenter, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Civil society actors\/Trade unionists<\/strong>: Such as human rights activists, women\u2019s rights defenders, environmentalists, development workers, trade unionists (in particular those exercising a national responsibility in the field of international relations), etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Academics\/Think-tanks<\/strong>: In particular those responsible for teaching and researching in the fields of EU\/international affairs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>The EUVP&nbsp;<u>is not open<\/u>&nbsp;<\/strong>for students, neither for private sector lawyers, industrialists, bankers, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Participants are required to have&nbsp;<strong>completed their university education or equivalent training and&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>will have already gained some years of professional experience.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>The candidates do not have to reside in Ukraine to be eligible for the EUVP visit.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Non-Ukrainian applicants should contact the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/eeas.europa.eu\/headquarters\/headquarters-homepage\/area\/geo_en\">EU Delegation in the country of their citizenship<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>How are participants selected?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>First selection of candidates is made by the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine. A final decision is taken by a&nbsp;<\/strong>Management Committee in Brussels chaired jointly by staff of the European Parliament and the European Commission. Selected candidates&nbsp;<strong>will be notified in the second half 2025.<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>The participants will then choose the dates of their study visits from a list of dates in 2026 that will be offered to them. &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>What is the application process?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Please complete the following three forms and send them by email to the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine to Ms Tetiana Zadera, EUVP Liaison Officer on&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:tania.zadera@eeas.europa.eu\">tania.zadera@eeas.europa.eu<\/a>&nbsp;not later than&nbsp;<strong>Friday,<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>21 March 2025<\/strong>&nbsp;with following subject line: &#8220;Application for EUVP 2026&#8221;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>1.
