{"id":5205,"date":"2025-07-23T16:16:08","date_gmt":"2025-07-23T13:16:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/science\/?p=5205"},"modified":"2025-07-23T16:35:35","modified_gmt":"2025-07-23T13:35:35","slug":"tnmu-continues-to-lead-among-medical-universities-of-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/science\/en\/tnmu-continues-to-lead-among-medical-universities-of-ukraine\/","title":{"rendered":"TNMU Continues to Lead Among Medical Universities of Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The Center for International Projects \u201cEuroeducation\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/euroosvita.net\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/euroosvita.net\/<\/a>), in partnership with the international expert group IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence (<a href=\"http:\/\/ireg-observatory.org\/en\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/ireg-observatory.org\/en\/<\/a>), has recently published the 19th academic ranking of higher education institutions in Ukraine \u2014 \u201cTop 200 Ukraine 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University<\/strong>&nbsp;ranked&nbsp;<strong>second among all medical and pharmaceutical universities in Ukraine<\/strong>&nbsp;and took&nbsp;<strong>27th place overall<\/strong>&nbsp;among the 200 higher education institutions included in the national ranking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image eplus-wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/TNMU-680x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-168278\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">When compiling this year\u2019s ranking, the experts considered modern trends in the transformation of higher education. Special attention was given to the&nbsp;<strong>Berlin Principles<\/strong>, approved during the second IREG meeting in Berlin, Germany (May 18\u201320, 2006,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/euroosvita.net\/prog\/data\/doc\/BerlinPrinciples.pdf\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">link<\/a>), as well as the&nbsp;<strong>IREG 2024 Conference<\/strong>&nbsp;recommendations \u2014&nbsp;<em>\u201cAI Influence on Higher Education and Rankings\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;(<a href=\"https:\/\/ireg-observatory.org\/en\/ireg-2024\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">link<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">In the&nbsp;<strong>Top 200 Ukraine 2025<\/strong>&nbsp;ranking, increased focus was placed on indicators reflecting the impact of&nbsp;<strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong>&nbsp;on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">research activities,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">innovation output,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">and the social influence of universities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Among international ranking systems that fully account for these effects, the&nbsp;<strong>THE University Impact Rankings 2025<\/strong>&nbsp;stands out. Its methodology incorporates cutting-edge&nbsp;<strong>AI tools<\/strong>, particularly&nbsp;<strong>large language models (LLMs)<\/strong>, for automatic analysis and verification of data submitted by universities. This significantly enhances the accuracy and transparency of the evaluation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">In this year\u2019s edition, the&nbsp;<strong>Webometrics ranking indicators<\/strong>&nbsp;were replaced by a more structured and representative indicator \u2014 the&nbsp;<strong>SCImago Institutions Rankings<\/strong>, updated in 2024. Its methodology is based on three key components:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Research (50%)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 including increased publication and patent output related to AI;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Innovation (30%)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 measured by the number of AI-related patents and patent citations;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Societal (20%)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 reflecting the university\u2019s growing online and academic platform presence, largely due to the use of AI technologies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Center for International Projects \u201cEuroeducation\u201d (https:\/\/euroosvita.net\/), in partnership with the international expert group IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence (http:\/\/ireg-observatory.org\/en\/), has recently published the 19th academic ranking of higher education institutions in Ukraine \u2014 \u201cTop 200 Ukraine 2025.\u201d I.
