Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University<\/strong> and <strong>Sumy State University<\/strong> share the highest position among Ukrainian universities, ranking in the <strong>1,201\u20131,400 range<\/strong> globally.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeshighereducation.com\/world-university-rankings\/latest\/world-ranking?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">Times Higher Education World University Rankings<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TNMU has improved its position compared with the previous edition of the ranking, in which it held second place among Ukrainian higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Times Higher Education World University Rankings<\/strong> is one of the world\u2019s most influential sources of data on the performance of higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ranking is based on five main criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 <strong>Teaching (29.5%)<\/strong> \u2013 assesses the university\u2019s academic reputation based on surveys of scholars, the staff-to-student ratio, the number of doctoral degrees awarded, and institutional income. This indicator demonstrates the extent to which the university provides a high-quality learning environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 <strong>Research Environment (29.5%)<\/strong> \u2013 takes into account academic reputation in research, research funding, and research productivity, including the number of publications per academic and teaching staff member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 <strong>Research Quality (30%)<\/strong> \u2013 evaluates the number of citations of research publications, their impact on global science, and the share of papers published in the most prestigious international academic journals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 <strong>Industry (2.5%)<\/strong> \u2013 considers income from collaboration with industry, the number of patents obtained, and citations of the university\u2019s research publications in patent documentation. This criterion demonstrates the extent to which research findings are translated into practical applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 <strong>International Outlook (7.5%)<\/strong> \u2013 assesses the proportion of international students and academic staff, as well as the number of publications co-authored with researchers from other countries.
