On June 25, 2022, the sports event Olympic Day<\/strong> took place in Taras Shevchenko Park in Ternopil supported by Ternopil City Centre for Physical Health of the Population<\/strong>. All followers of active recreation and sports, citizens and guests of the city, all about 800 people, took part in this sports event.<\/p>\n

The program of the event:<\/p>\n

\u2013 sports locations in various sports;<\/p>\n

\u2013 passing of the Olympic flame;<\/p>\n

\u2013 health exercises;<\/p>\n

\u2013 health symbolic run;<\/p>\n

\u2013 competitive and fan football and boxing tournaments;<\/p>\n

\u2013 streetball, chess, roller skating and skateboarding tournaments;<\/p>\n

\u2013 dance performances;<\/p>\n

\u2013 master classes by our city Sport School for Children and Youth;<\/p>\n

\u2013 meetings with our Olympic athletes.<\/p>\n

All participants of this event received commemorative medals and prizes. The teachers of the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physical Education ran by Professor Daria Popovych<\/strong>, and TNMU students took part in this event. The third-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy specialty, Oleksandra Sokolovska <\/strong>and Yuliia Hlad<\/strong> (master of sports in gymnastics) were among the participants. They performed wellness massages for everyone during this event.<\/p>\n

Oleksandra Sokolova<\/strong> worked as a volunteer health instructor for more than 3 months at the Ukrainian Voluntary Corps \u201cRight Sector\u201d in Kyiv region. Her duties were examining and treating the injured, as well as teaching tactical medicine. During the Olympic Day<\/strong> sports event, Nataliia Davybida<\/strong>, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physical Education, was in charge of performance of health massage by the students.<\/p>\n

The students of TNMU also took part in the sports events: a 1st<\/sup> year student of the Faculty of Medicine, majoring in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Yuliia Zolotniuk<\/strong> took part in the 1700-meter race, and Pavlo Melnyk<\/strong> took part in the event as a certified instructor in first aid. It should be noted that he is the commander of the Rapid Response Unit of the Ternopil City Organization of the Red Cross Society.<\/p>\n

Sports events took place in many cities of our country. Many fans of physical training and sports of different age joined the sports event Olympic Day.<\/p>\n
