Four years ago, on July 21, 2017, during the official visit of representatives of MacEwan University: Elizabeth Burgess-Pinto, Associate Professor of Nursing, and Christina Shumka, the instructor-methodologist of this department, to I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, the Scholarship of the Shumka family for students of the Academic and Research Institute of Nursing has been initiated.
The idea of material incentives for young people was by Dale Shumka, whose parents come from Ternopil region. He decided to make a contribution to the future of Ukraine in the form of supporting talented youth, because, as he said in an interview with the TNMU website, he considers human capital to be one of the most valuable. Recently, the representatives of the family allocated another amount of money to continue the project of Hryhoriy and Yevdokia Shumka scholarship.
A competition for this scholarship among full-time Ukrainian students of the Institute of Nursing of TNMU has been announces. You are welcomed to apply.
Financial situation, academic success and social activity will be taken into account during the selection.
Applications can be submitted to the Dean’s Office of the Institute of Nursing.
