In her speech, Svitlana Danchak emphasized the importance of high-quality medical education for nurses, the acquisition of necessary competencies by future nursing specialists, and shared her experience of studying at the Institute of Nursing. The practical skills that a modern nurse should possess require reforming the training of nursing professionals, constant communication with students and stakeholders, permanent work on updating educational programs and continuous professional development of specialists. The Director of the Institute of Nursing shared with representatives of institutions of higher and professional pre-university education the experience of training nurses at the first (bachelor’s), second (master’s) and third (training and research) levels of higher education. Summarizing her speech, Svitlana Danchak emphasized that the education of nurses does not end with obtaining a diploma, but should be performed continuously at the post-graduate level in order to create a competitive continuum of medical workers and nursing specialists.
