TNMU Launched Cooperation with the Academy of Applied Sciences of Mazovia

On July 12-13, 2023, the Director of TNMU Academic and Research Institute of Nursing Svitlana Danchak handed over the cooperation agreement with the Academy of Applied Sciences of Mazovia (city of Siedlce, Republic of Poland) signed by the Rector of Ternopil National Medical University, Professor Mykhaylo Korda. On the part of the Polish higher education institution, Rector Bozhena Pekhovych confirmed the agreement to cooperation with her signature.

The agreement provides for joint participation in scientific, innovative projects to solve current problems in the field of medical education and science; exchange of information; promotion of professional development of employees through training of teaching staff; supporting students’ professional development.

During the visit to the Academy of Applied Sciences, the Director of the Institute of Nursing was also demonstrated the structure and principles of work of the John Paul II Mazowiecki Voivodeship Hospital, learned about the experience of dividing the functional duties of nurses according to their degree of higher education (Bachelor’s and Master’s), which is used in all medical institutions in Poland.

During meetings with representatives of the academy and the hospital, she discussed the latest approaches to nursing education and patient care. The exchange of experience and ideas contributed to the identification of common interests and determined promising directions for further cooperation. Thanks to the agreements, students of TNMU Institute of Nursing got the opportunity to complete their practical training in the facilities of the Mazovian Voivodeship Hospital named after John Paul II.
