Short description of the discipline – «Elective course in the section of surgical periodontology»aims to deepen students’ knowledge regarding the etiology and pathogenesis of periodontal tissue diseases, as well as to review and learn the methods of surgical treatment of various forms of periodontitis. In the course of this course students will be able to study and carry out methods of diagnostics and master the criteria for evaluation of such topical disease as periodontitis. Particular attention in this section will be given to the study of the surgical method of treatment of periodontitis, and in particular to the study of the variability of the methods of flap surgery.
