The aim of study of the discipline “Topical issues of Dermatovenereology” is to form students’ correct understanding of the practical significance of dermatovenereology among other clinical disciplines, education of the correct approach to examination and treatment of the most common skin, venereal diseases and diseases of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, as well as the necessary knowledge, skills and ability to use them in certain clinical situations.
After completing the course “Topical issues of Dermatovenereology” students should know:
1. Modern scientific views about etiology and pathogenesis of the most widespread skin diseases and diseases of the mucous membranes in the oral cavity.
2. Factors that cause skin diseases and diseases of the mucous membranes in the oral cavity.
3. Classification and the main clinical symptoms of the main skin diseases and diseases of the mucous membranes in the oral cavity.
4. Principles of treatment and preventive of skin, venereal diseases and diseases of the mucous membranes in the oral cavity.
5. Deontology principles in assessment of patient with skin, STD diseases and diseases of the mucous membranes in the oral cavity.
Students should be able to:
1. To take anamnesis and assess patients with skin, STD diseases and diseases of the mucous membranes in the oral cavity.
2. To perform differential, diagnose, put correct diagnose, prescribe rational treatment.
3. To carry out necessary medicalprocedures.
