Dear students of the international students’ faculty!
Due to the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic and the probable continuation of quarantine restrictions, we inform you that your health insurance does not cover the costs associated with the diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus infection, as according to paragraph 5.3.13 of Section 5 of the Rules of Voluntary Health Medical Insurance. The Insurer does not recognize the event as an insured event and refuses the insurance payment if the Insured Person’s illness occurred as a result of natural disasters, and their consequences, epidemics, quarantines, etc. This information is written in your health insurance contract.
At the same time, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 12, 2020,  № 480, stipulates that foreigners need an appropriate insurance policy to enter Ukraine. In particular, according to this resolution, for the period of quarantine, it is prohibited to cross the state border by foreigners without an existing policy (certificate) of insurance, which covers costs associated with the treatment of COVID-19.
Based on the above, we strongly recommend that you purchase a health insurance program “Care 24/7 – COVID 19”, designed to provide insurance protection to citizens during the epidemic of the COVID 19 in Ukraine.
