Students of Ternopil National Medical University actively participated in the Scientific Conference hosted by Vinnytsia National Medical University, demonstrating strong academic engagement and achieving notable success across multiple disciplines.

The following students represented TNMU:

Свіржевський Андрій Анатолійович (5th year, MM-517 group, Medical Faculty), under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. O. V. Pokryshko, presented a report titled “Study of the Effectiveness of Rapid Disinfection in Hospital Settings” at the Department of Microbiology, Virology, and Immunology and was awarded 2nd place.

Omodamiro Temidayo Adebusola (6th year, IM-639 group, International Students Faculty) and Романченко Олександр Олегович (4th year, 405 group, Medical Faculty), under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. O. V. Pokryshko, presented “Microbial Profile and Time Trends of Clinical Isolates in the Orthopedic Department of Ternopil Regional Clinical Hospital (2024–2025)” at the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Virology, receiving 1st place.

Кліновська Віолетта Русланівна and Галак Крістіна Сергіївна (3rd year, Medical Faculty), under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. V. P. Pyda, presented “Study of the Properties of Lisianthus Russell Extract” at the Department of Pharmacology and were awarded 1st place.

Sneha Suresh and Lakshmipriya Kandarathil Sunil (6th year, IM-639 group, International Students Faculty) under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Inna Volodymyrivna Korda, presented “Pre-conception Knowledge of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus: A Comparative Study of Women in Ukraine and India” at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, receiving 3rd place.

Прокопович Дарина Миколаївна, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. O. V. Pokryshko, presented “Analysis of the Use of Aminoglycosides in the Treatment of Urinary Tract Infections Caused by Escherichia coli” at the Department of Internal Medicine No. 2 and was awarded 3rd place.

Романченко Олександр Олегович and Omodamiro Temidayo Adebusola, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. O. V. Pokryshko, also presented “Clinical Case of Treatment of a Leg Ulcer Caused by Multidrug-Resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa in an Elderly Patient” at the Department of Surgery, receiving 3rd place.

In addition to the presenting participants, Agnus James (6th year, IM-624 group, International Students Faculty) also attended the conference, actively engaging in scientific sessions and discussions.

Reflecting on the experience, one of the participating students expressed sincere appreciation to the organizers, noting the warm hospitality and excellent coordination throughout the event. From assistance with arrival and accommodation to the organization of a visit to the Pirogov Museum, the hosting team ensured a smooth and enriching experience. Other students also highlighted the high level of engagement during presentations, with judges showing keen interest in all research works, and appreciated the provision of translation support, which facilitated effective communication in Ukrainian. Overall, the conference was described as a highly valuable and enriching academic experience
