In the educational building of the Academic and Research Institute of Nursing of TNMU (at 3, Kotsyubynskyi Street) the vaccination centre from COVID-19 was deployed; on August 12, 2021 the vaccination of international students with the vaccine “Modern” started. The centre is open every day from 9.00 to 16.00. On August 12, more than 30 Indian citizens were vaccinated at the Institute of Nursing.

 

Those international students who received the first dose of Covishield vaccine in their home country can receive the second dose of this vaccine at the vaccination centre but a certificate of the first vaccination must be presented. International students should also present a certificate of temporary stay in Ukraine, a passport and a receipt of payment (140 UAH – a payment for the services of the vaccination centre). The second dose of vaccine “Moderna” will be available in 28 days after the first vaccination. After the second dose, international students can also receive an international vaccination certificate. In this vaccination centre, all residents of Ternopil can get vaccinated.

In addition, medical students and interns are also involved in the coronavirus vaccination campaign in Ukraine to reduce the burden on health workers. This was announced on its information platforms by the Ukrainian WHO Office. The 4th 5th year students of TNMU are also involved in the vaccination compaign.

The WHO representative in Ukraine Jarno Habicht added that the involvement of volunteers and students is a standard procedure in other countries.
