Hannover Medical School launches learning module for rehabilitation after amputation (RehAmpTT)

With funding from the Federal Ministry of Health, the Department for Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at  Hannover Medical School   has developed a learning platform that supports people with amputations, their relatives and medical professionals for the rehabilitation process.

This tool is available free of charge in Ukrainian and German language.  The   learning platform  takes you systematically through the phases of rehabilitation – from the time immediately after the operation to long-term care – and presents for example treatment techniques, self-help exercises and medical therapy. Within each phase, users will find nine subcategories on topics such as “movement, power and mobility”, “assistance devices “, “pain” and “stump care”.  The tool could not substitute an all-encompassing representation, but it answers all the important questions about rehabilitation. There are also practical tips for those affected, such as instructions for cutting bread, tying shoes and putting on a bra with just one arm.

Also you can find  Protez Hub – Sustainable development of the limb prothetics industry in Ukraine. Everything related to limb prosthetics in Ukraine in one accessible resource. From useful information for the injured to a list of service providers to free educational courses for professionals.
