On September 26-27, 2024, the scientific conference “Ukrainian Days in Saarland”, organized by the Ukrainian-German Academic Association (DUAG) https://www.amegbio.com/ukrainian-days-in-saarland was held in Saarbrücken (Germany). Professor Andrii Luzhetskyi became the head of the local organizing committee. This two-day event became an excellent platform for communicating and exchanging thoughts and experiences of German-Ukrainian cooperation in higher education, science, and research.

Representatives of Ternopil National Medical University participated both online and offline. Postgraduate student of the Pharmacology with Clinical Pharmacology Department Svitlana Paliy presented the results of her research. She was selected to the top five among all participants of the VIII annual competition of the best scientific papers among PhD students.


In addition to the final selection of the UKRAINET postgraduate competition, the reports “Core of Excellence – Ukraine, Saarland University (UdS), Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS)” were presented by Professor Rolf Müller, Director of the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS). This institution became a partner of the Center for Advanced Research of Natural Compounds CENtR. The report of the Czech-Ukrainian Scientific Society highlighted the cooperation and support of Ukrainian researchers in the Czech Republic. In addition, panel discussions on “Innovative Economy” and “Startups: Opportunities between Germany and Ukraine” were held.
