TNMU Ranked Second among Ukrainian Universities in the World University Rankings 2026

The information portal Osvita.ua (https://osvita.ua/vnz/rating/95674/) has published data showing that 22 Ukrainian universities have been included in the list of the world’s best universities according to the World University Rankings 2026 by the leading agency Times Higher Education (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/latest/world-ranking). This is five more universities than in the previous edition of the ranking.

I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU) took second place among 22 Ukrainian universities.

  2. Ternopil National Medical University (1201–1500 position)
  3. Bohomolets National Medical University (1501+ position)
  4. Dnipro Polytechnic (1501+ position)
  5. Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (1501+ position)
  6. Kharkiv Aviation Institute (1501+ position)
  7. Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics (1501+ position)
  8. Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (1501+ position)
  9. Lviv Polytechnic National University (1501+ position)
  10. M.I. Pyrohov Vinnytsia National Medical University (1501+ position)
  11. Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (1501+ position)
  12. National Technical University of Ukraine “Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (1501+ position)
  13. National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (1501+ position)
  14. Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University (1501+ position)
  15. Dnipro National University (1501+ position)
  16. National Aviation University (1501+ position)
  17. Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (1501+ position)
  18. Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (1501+ position)

In terms of the number of ranked universities, the United States occupies the first place, while India takes second place this year.

According to the data published on the official Times Higher Education platform, this ranking remains one of the most authoritative sources of information about the performance and effectiveness of higher education institutions worldwide.
