From 20 November to 20 December 2025, the Scientific Image Competition is underway — an annual campaign aimed at popularizing scientific knowledge. Its goal is to collect photographs and graphic materials that document the world of science for illustrating articles on Wikipedia.
The competition was launched in 2011 by Wikipedians from Estonia. In Ukraine, it was first held in 2015 as part of a Europe-wide initiative, and in 2025 it is taking place for the tenth time. Anyone interested is welcome to participate.
🏆 This year, participants can compete in five categories: “People in Science,” “Microscopy,” “Living Organisms,” “Non-photographic Images,” and “General Category.”
