The European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers (Eurodoc) is pleased to announce the second edition of its Ambassador Programme on democracy and fundamental values in European research and higher education.
The programme is addressed to early-career researchers from all disciplines and across Europe. It aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the democratic mission of higher education and research, as well as practical and theoretical foundations for advocacy within academic and societal contexts.
The curriculum is delivered by leading experts and stakeholders and focuses on two main thematic areas:
The Democratic Mission of Research and Higher Education in Europe
The Role of Democratic Public Authorities for Research in Europe
Two participation tracks are available:
Track 1 (Full Ambassador Programme): Limited to 80 participants. Registration closes on 15 March 2026.
Track 2 (Lectures Only): Open until a total of 260 registrations is reached.
This programme offers a unique opportunity to engage with current challenges related to academic freedom, democratic governance, and the societal role of universities.
