UK-Ukraine Academic Mentorship Programme

As part of the cooperation between I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University and universities in the United Kingdom, academic staff and PhD students are invited to participate in an international UK-Ukraine Academic Mentorship Programme.

The UK-Ukraine Academic Mentorship Programme is organized on the initiative of Science for Ukraine UK.

The aim of the Science for Ukraine UK Mentoring Program is to support Ukrainian colleagues in navigating the academic environment of the United Kingdom.

The mentorship programme is designed to support Ukrainian colleagues in the following areas:

·        Career planning

·        Developing a professional network and building an academic/professional profile

·        Understanding academic work culture in the UK

·        Preparing CVs and application materials

·        Navigating the academic publishing process

·        Academic writing

·        Securing research funding (from UK-based funders only)

·        Career progression and professional advancement

After registering on the platform, each participant is matched with a mentor based on their career stage and area of specialization. Mentoring meetings are scheduled online using communication tools convenient for both parties, at least once every two weeks over a period of three months.
