Defense of Yuliia Bandrivska’s Dissertation on the Effects of Subtoxic Doses of Cadmium and Lead on the Liver of White Rats with Varying Phosphate Concentrations in Drinking Water

On May 21, 2025, the dissertation defense of Yuliia Bandrivska took place at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of Health Care (22), specialty 222 “Medicine”.

The topic of the dissertation was:
“The Effects of Subtoxic Doses of Cadmium and Lead on the Liver of White Rats in the Context of Drinking Water with Varying Phosphate Concentrations.”

During the public defense, the postgraduate student presented the results of an experimental study focused on the toxicological effects of heavy metals on the body in the context of modern environmental challenges. The work received positive evaluations from reviewers and official opponents, and was highly praised by the members of the specialized academic council.

Following an open vote, it was unanimously decided to award Yuliia Bandrivska the PhD degree.

The doctoral candidate expressed sincere gratitude to the university administration, the research department, the postgraduate department, and the Department of Hygiene for their support, assistance in organizing the research process, and for creating the conditions necessary to successfully complete the dissertation.
