A stay at Medical University of Vienna in the 2026/27 academic year
Dear students (at least in third year of study), we are pleased to invite you to nominate for a stay at Medical University of Vienna in the 2026/27 academic year. Generally, nominated students can participate in clerkships/clinical electives and/or in curricular courses at MedUni Vienna. However, please note that students who would like to participate in curricular courses will have to provide proof of German language proficiency (at least CEFR level B1) during the application process and that we cannot guarantee that a course program will be feasible (also due to capacity restrictions related to course places in 2026/27). Students who would like to participate in clerkships/clinical electives at least should be proficient in English. However, certain clinical departments also require German knowledge for clerkships (see details in attached brochure page 6), nominees with German knowledge thus generally have more options. Please note that generally, clerkships get evaluated only on a pass/fail basis at MedUni Vienna (no numerical grades, no further/detailed evaluation).

Medicine: Participation in clinical clerkships and/or curricular courses (at least in third year of study)
Dentistry: Observership (hands-off participation in activities at the University Clinic of Dentistry) (at least in the 9th semester)
