TNMU Students Participated in the International Student Conference on Paediatrics in Vilnius

On April 20, 2024, Vilnius (Lithuania) hosted the International Student Conference on Paediatrics. The event was attended by the students and teachers of Vilnius and Riga Universities. Thanks to the cooperation between Ternopil National Medical University and Vilnius University, two students from Ukraine took part in this event at the invitation of Professor Arunas Valiulis of the Clinic of Children’s Diseases of the Institute of Clinical Medicine of Vilnius University, who is the head of the IPOKRaTES Lithuania Fund.

TNMU was represented at the conference by Diana Savkiv, a 6th-year student of the Faculty of Medicine, who gave a report on the topic “Genetic Spectrum and Clinical Presentation of Autoinflammatory Diseases: a Single Center Study” (research supervisor – DSc in Medicine, Professor Oksana Boyarchuk).

The program of the conference was rich and permeated with interesting reports of students on various topics in the field of paediatrics.

Students also had the opportunity to visit the Department of Neonatology, Paediatric Oncology and Haematology, and the Department of Rare Diseases at Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos.
