Students of TNMU Faculty of Medicine Olena Iskra (MM-416) and Diana Malyshevska (MM-416) gave lectures on the topic “All about electronic cigarettes and energy drinks” for the 6th-grade students (February 28, 2024) and the 7th-grade students (1 March 2024) of Ternopil Academic Lyceum “Ivan Franko Ukrainian Gymnasium”.

The purpose of the event was to tell children and teenagers about what an electronic cigarette and energy drinks are, what substances they contain, why a person develops addiction and how it happens, what harm electronic cigarettes and energy drinks bring. TNMU students also presented the research, the purpose of which was to convince children of the harmfulness of these things.

During the events, schoolchildren listened attentively and asked questions from time to time. These lectures were useful and interesting for them, because the relevance of the consumption of electronic cigarettes and energy boosters is not decreasing.
Lyceum students had many questions. After the lecture, they made their own conclusions about the detrimental effect of electronic cigarettes and energy drinks. It is important to continue to tell the schoolchildren about the harmful effects of such products on human health.
