TNMU Continues the “One Million Trees of Life” Campaign

The last days of October 2023 were marked by another step in greening the premises of Ternopil National Medical University as part of the “One Million Trees of Life” campaign. This time, a tulip tree, larch, weigela bushes, lavender and roses were planted near the central facade and in the courtyard of the morphological building of the university.

The campaign also involves raising funds for the purchase of 1,000 drones for our defenders.

It should be reminded that on April 20, 2023, as part of this project, cherry trees, magnolias, hydrangeas and “Vichy” grapes were planted in the courtyard of TNMU administrative building. This was made possible as part of the “1 million trees of life” campaign. Students of various years of study of the Faculty of Medicine actively participated in the event.

This year, Tetiana Chubak, Honorary Consul of Hungary in Ternopil and at the same time regional representative of the charitable organization “Greening of Ukraine Charitable Fund”, and Professor Mykhaylo Korda, Rector of Ternopil National Medical University, signed a Memorandum on cooperation in the implementation of the global eco-initiative “Greening of the Planet”.

Cooperation within the framework of the memorandum involves drawing attention to the problems of ecology, restoring the country’s ecosystem, forming a positive image of Ukraine in the world with the help of the collective success story of Ukrainians.
