The Number of Applications Submitted to TNMU Rose Twice This Year

On July 31, 2023, the submission of applications by secondary schools and medical colleges graduates was closed. The Admissions Committee have a few more days to check the information submitted by the applicants before publishing the lists of those recommended for studies at the expense of the state budget and on a contract, but some conclusions can already be drawn.

TNMU raises its high rankings among higher medical education institutions by the number of applications submitted by the entrants. Despite the fact that this year the requirement for a minimum competitive score of 150 for Medicine and Dentistry, 140 for Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy was brought back and the application period was 14 days shorter than in 2022, school graduates submitted more 1500 applications for specialty “Medicine”, more than 600 applications – for specialty “Dentistry”, almost 400 – for specialty “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy”. In general, this is the fourth parameter among higher education institutions of Ukraine in the medical field. According to the number of applications submitted for these specialties by the graduates of medical colleges, TNMU ranks second.
This year, fairly more entrants expressed a desire to study in the training programs “Nursing” (in total 183 applications in 2023, 145 in 2022), “Paramedic”, specialization “Emergency medicine” (158 applications in 2023, 97 in 2022 r.); specialty “Therapy and Rehabilitation” is excpetionally popular this year (522 applications and 208 in 2022). It should be noted that this year all places in the training program “Physical Therapy” are at the expense of state budget.

The Admissions Committee emphasizes that the university has sufficient license capacity to enroll all those who aspire to obtain a higher medical education at Ternopil Medical University.
