Assistant Professor of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology Gave a Lecture for Young People on Emotions and Mental Health

On August 19-20, 2023, Tetiana Ivanitska, Assistant Professor of TNMU Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology, took part in the project “Buchach Youth Forum”, which was organized by the Buchach Youth Portal and the NGO “Buchach-Art”. During the event, Mrs. Tetiana gave a lecture on “Emotional intelligence. How to develop it? Why is it such a necessary skill in today’s world?”, aimed at improving emotional literacy in the context of mental health among young people.

The participants of the lecture had the opportunity to learn about the main components of emotional intelligence, including awareness of one’s own emotions, identifying emotions in others and effective communication skills. Tetiana Ivanitska provided numerous real-life examples and specific strategies for improving emotional intelligence.

During the lecture, the audience actively communicated, asked questions and discussed their own experiences and challenges related to emotions. The event was marked by the high activity of the participants and their desire to study this important topic.

Almost 120 attendees from different parts of Ukraine took part in the event. The key topics of this year’s forum were self-development, self-realization, proactivity, the importance of spirituality and family values.

“Without exaggeration, I would like to point out that such an event is precisely the starting point for conscious, proactive, creative youth to develop, create ideas and implement them. First of all, young people get a platform to communicate with each other, and secondly, to implement their ideas, to share their successful cases and find like-minded people,” said Mrs. Tetiana.

Note that the moto of this year’s forum is: “Together for conscious actions!” We thank the organizers for a valuable project, and the Defence Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to hold such events under Ukrainian skies. We encourage everyone to continue to support our defenders and march towards victory together.
