Delegation of Researchers from Szczecin (Republic of Poland) Visited TNMU

On June 14, 2023, the delegation from Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin and Military Medical Institute (Wojskowy Instytut Medyczny) in Szczecin arrived on a working visit to Ternopil National Medical University. It included Doctor of Medicine Małgorzata Ewa Marchelek-Myśliwiec (Dr hab. n. med.), Professor Jerzy Sieńko (Prof. dr hab. n. med.), Professor of the Department of Epidemiology and Tropical Medicine of the Military Medical Institute Krzysztof Korzeniewski (Prof. dr hab. n. med.).

Polish scientists met with the Rector of TNMU – Professor Mykhaylo Korda, vice-rectors and scientists of the university to discuss areas of cooperation.

The discussion was about the development of transplantology in Ukraine and in particular in Ternopil. Polish colleagues expressed their desire to help in this. Issues related to joint scientific research in the field of epidemiology and infectious diseases were also discussed.

The representatives of the Polish delegation had a chance to see the material and technical facilities of TNMU, its research laboratories, and also visited the city’s health care institutions.
