TNMU opened Research Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Development

On December 11, 2019, the Research Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Development was opened at the Faculty of Pharmacy of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.

“We have planned to open such a laboratory for a long time. It is nice that on the eve of the New Year this project has become a reality. Its main purpose is to facilitate teaching process and research for the students studying in program “Technology of drugs”. Students will be able to acquire essential practical skills here, and scientists will carry out research. The university plans to equip the laboratory with the necessary analytical devises, ” TNMU Rector, Professor Mykhaylo Korda said.

Assistant Professor of the Department of Pharmacy Management, Economics and Technology who is responsible for the work of the Research Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Development Nataliia Belei said that the laboratory was created to carry out research projects, such as dissertations and master’s papers, and to organize practical classes for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The laboratory is equipped with modern devices on which it is possible to make herbal preparations during the research on herbal raw materials, to obtain extracts of biologically active substances, tinctures, bring them to the state of powders or granules, as well as to produce pills and capsules.
