TNMU students participated in a scientific and practical conference on dermatovenereology in Kharkiv

I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University students participated in the scientific-practical conference “Achievements and perspectives in modern dermatovenereology: European and Ukrainian experience, interaction of science and practice”, which was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Institute of Dermatology and Venereology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and was held on November 21-22, 2019 in Kharkiv.

TNMU was represented by the 5th medical year student Teresa Shvets with the report on “Differential approach to the choice of peeling in the practice of dermatovenereologist” (scientific supervisor – Doctor of Medicine, Professor Svitlana Halnykina), and the 6th year medical student Orysia Potareiko with the report on “Trichoscopy as a basic method in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of pathological conditions of the hair and scalp” (scientific supervisor – Doctor of Medicine, Professor Svitlana Halnykina).

Oriya Potareiko was awarded the diploma for the best report among young scientists.

Within the Conference, a plenary session and three sections were held to discuss current methods of therapy and prevention of common and severe dermatoses, sexually transmitted infections, skin and mycosis infections, their diagnosis and treatment.

The students were inspired with the event, because they received a lot of interesting information, got acquainted with the clinical pictures and ways of treatment of dermatological diseases, and also shared their knowledge with the participants of the conference.
