Delegation of Medical and Dental Council of Ghana, representatives from Ghana Parliament and Consulate in Ukraine visited Ternopil State Medical University.

On May 22, 2017 the official delegation from Ghana, including Dr. Albert S. L. Kitcher, Honorary Consul Designate; Hon. Sabi, William Kwasi, Vice Chairman, Parliamentary Select Committee on Health;  Hon.(Dr.) Kuganab-Lem, Robert Baba, Deputy Ranking Member, Parliamentary Select Committee on Health;  Hon. (Dr.) Twum-Nuamah, Kwabena, Member, Parliamentary Select Committee on Health; Prof. and Dean, Abantanga, Francis Atindaana, Board Member, Medical and Dental Council, Ghana; Dr. Banyubala, Divine Ndonbi, Deputy Registrar, Medical and Dental Council, Ghana; Ms. Abdulai, Memunatu, Head of Training, Medical and Dental Council, Ghana; Ms. Fiawoyife, Peace, Clerk to the Parliamentary Select Committee on Health, arrived with a scheduled visit to Ternopil State Medical University.

The meeting and its agenda were planned during the preliminary visit to TSMU of Dr. Albert S.L. Kitcher and Mr. Michael Anane-Domfeh, Counsellor and Head, Consular & Education of Embassy of Ghana, on May 17, 2017.

The guests met with the rector of Ternopil State Medical University, Professor Mykhaylo Korda. The main focus of the meeting was the recognition of TSMU degrees in Ghana.

The delegation was introduced to the technical facilities and teaching environment of the Pharmacology Department, the research Institute of Morphology, including its anatomy museum, Faculty of Dentistry, simulation training center, independent testing center, and clinical facilities of TSMU at Ternopil University Hospital.

During the visit, the members of the delegation  also had conversions and discussions with the Dean of International Students Faculty, Professor Petro Selskyy,  as well as Dean Office staff.

In addition, the delegation from Ghana had the opportunity to talk with the Ghanaians who came to study at Ternopil State Medical University.  The meeting had a warm and friendly atmosphere. The distinguished guests expressed their satisfaction with the high level of educational services at Ternopil State Medical University, and wished the students success in studying and professional growth.
