Student Scientific Group atPhysiology with the Basics of Bioethics and Biosafety Department.
On October 2, 2024, a meeting of the scientific group took place under the chairmanship of the Head of the Department, Professor Stepan Vadzyuk.
The student scientific group has been existing since the founding of the Department. Its work is practically oriented, using clinical methods for assessing body functions and psychophysiological research methods.

The first meeting (2024-2025) was dedicated to familiarizing the student members with the group’s work and the methodologies of psychophysiological research.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, 33 students joined the scientific group of the department.

The department’s academic staff will conduct training workshops for them using various methods of assessing body functions – electroencephalography, electromyography, electrocardiography, rheovasography, spirometry, spirography, peak flowmetry, perimetry, continuous keratometry and refractometry, ophthalmotonometry, tonal threshold audiometry, nystagmography, mathematical analysis of heart rhythm, and psychophysiological research methods.

At the end of the meeting, the participants were demonstrated the methods of the “Diagnost 1M” computer system: determining the latent period of a simple visual-motor reaction, determining the latent period of a 1-3 choice reaction, determining the latent period of a 2-3 choice reaction, determining the strength and mobility of nerve processes, determining the response to a moving object, and a tapping test.
