Presentation of the ShiftWavePro Technology for Military Rehabilitation at Ternopil National Medical University

On November 18, 2024, Ternopil National Medical University faculty and students were introduced to the ShiftWavePro technology, an innovative device designed to help reduce stress, improve emotional well-being, alleviate PTSD symptoms, and decrease phantom pain.

ShiftWavePro is an advanced wellness and stress management device that provides full-body relaxation through a unique chair. In this chair, individuals experience a state of zero gravity, and controlled microprocessor-generated impulse waves help harmonize the body, mind, and psyche. The user-friendly device can easily be folded into a portable travel bag.

During the presentation, Olha Konoval, head of the patronage service of the 2nd Rifle Battalion of the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade, shared her experience of using the device with military personnel. She highlighted that after a few sessions, soldiers reported that they had finally started to sleep better, which is crucial for physical and emotional recovery. “Many experienced a decrease in stress levels. We are gradually paying for this chair, and I am thankful to the American company that agreed to provide us with the option to pay in installments. We’ve just completed the third installment of the chair’s cost. We need more such devices to ensure our soldiers have access to them in the required quantity. I believe in the talents of Ukrainians, and I’m confident they can develop and implement similar inventions,” noted Olha Konoval.

During the event, attendees were invited to contribute towards the cost of the ShiftWavePro device. Thanks to the collective efforts, 17,109 UAH were raised, covering the third of four payments for the chair. Twenty-five participants expressed interest in experiencing the effects of the device firsthand.

Special thanks were extended to:

The Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, and Medical Psychology for their active participation and support of the event.

The Department of Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy, and Physical Education at TNMU for their financial support of 5,000 UAH as part of the “Current Issues in Physical Therapy and Prospects for Rehabilitation Development in Modern Conditions” conference (November 14–16, 2024).

Representatives of OUTLOOK, TNMU, and the Serhiy Konoval Foundation organized the event. The organizing committee included 6th-year medical students Valeriya Blahulyak, Anastasiia Hulko, and 5th-year student Nazariy Krulyk.

Those wishing to continue supporting this initiative to provide modern rehabilitation technologies to Ukrainian defenders are encouraged to send donations.
