TNMU and the Ombudsman’s Representative Agreed on Legal Education for Youth
The Representative of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights in Ternopil Oblast, Oleksandr Krynytskyi, during a March 18, 2026, meeting with the Rector of Ternopil National Medical University, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi, proposed ongoing cooperation to inform TNMU students about their rights and responsibilities. The discussion was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Science and Education, Professor Arkadiy Shulhai, and the Dean of the Faculty for Foreign Students, Professor Mariia Marushchak.

The main goal of the Ombudsman’s Representative in our region is to ensure the strict observance of human rights in the area and to provide legal assistance, consultations, protection, and restoration of violated rights.

Oleksandr Krynytskyi expressed hope that cooperation with Ternopil National Medical University in ensuring constitutional human rights in Ukraine will be effective.

The parties preliminarily agreed on a number of activities for young people to be held at our higher education institution.
